Subhaashitam 10

Na Chora haaryam, 
na cha Raja haaryam, 
na Bhaatr bhaajyam, na bharakaari
Vyayam krute vardhat evam nityam Vidhyadhanam sarvadhana pradhanam.

Cannot be snatched away by Thief, cannot be snatched away by King, Cannot be divided among Brothers, Not heavy either. If spent daily, it always keeps growing. The wealth of knowledge is the precious of wealth of all.

Subhaashitam 9

Himalayam samaarabhya yaavat Indu sarovaram
tam devanirmitam desham Hindustanam prachakshate

Starting from Himalayas and extending upto the Indu lake which borders on the Indian ocean, is the nation which god created and known as "Hindustan"

Subhaashitam 8

Eta Desha prasutasya sakashadagra janmana
svam savam charitram shiksheran prithivyam sarva maanavaha

All inhabitants of this earth should learn about living and building character from the ancient Sages and Seers who took birth in this land [of India]- Manusmrti.

Astadashapuranaanam saaram 
Vyasena keerthitam
Paropakaraha Punyaya, Paapaya Parapeeditam.

In all the eighteen Puranas, Sage Vyasa emphasizes only two moral precepts
Rendering service to people is merit and harassing them is evil.

Subhaashitam 6

Vanaani dahaato Vanhe sakhaa bhavati Maarutaha
sa eva Deepa naashaaya krushae kasyasti sahrudam

When forests are on fire, wind becomes it's ally
The same wind is also responsible to extinguish a small lamp

Subhaashitam 5

Sukhaarthi tyajate Vidyam 
Vidhyaarthi tyajate Sukham |
Sukhartheenaha kuto Vidyaa kuto Vidhyaartheena Sukham ||

Luxury people leave knowledge, But a student leaves Luxury
No knowledge for one who seeks Luxury, No luxury for student

Subhaashitam 4

Agnih shesham 
Runah shesham 
Shatru shesham thathaiva cha
Punah Punah Pravardhet tasmaat shesham na Kaarayet

Fire, Loan and enemy traces, even if they remain in small amount, they grow back repeatedly, Hence finish them without leaving a trace
